TSHIRTS N' SEQUINS

yumena melody skull necklace, lanaredman dagger necklace, vintage cut up shirt, thrifted shorts, unknown bandeau, namibian bracelets

I don't typically wear sequins. In fact, I think the only other sequined item I own would be a pair of shorts which hardly ever make it out of my insanely packed dresser. But, for this raggedy old top I gave in.

I found a blog that I cannot believe I have never come across before and I think I am in love. ET IN ARCADIA EGO, though if you're following my twitter, you already know. Holy cow I could stare at this girl and her amazing clothing all day. I've always said I was annoyed that I wasn't born Asian, and this girl cements that statement in stone.

I leave you with two tunes. The first is my favorite Beach Boys track (I know, I know). The next is Can. Long song, great drums, raw voice. Everything progresses into more energy as the song goes on. Nothing better than a crackly, I-just-woke-up, smoker voice. Sexual.

CASEY CRIPPLE

stash necklace c/o peeko.ca, old leopard leggings, vintage snake boots from cafarellajen, lavenderlemon bell sleeve sweater, luckyvintage purse

This weekend has been quite the bruiser. Decided to get in the spirit and tailgate. Ended up at some giant outdoor show with a band that covered 90s music, so naturally I was having a blast. Wearing bellbottoms and boots that were too big, we hopped a fence after the band finished and I didn't quite land right. I've been on crutches since then. So lame! Today has been much better, as I am able to put on shoes. These snake skin boots, in fact. They are actually padded inside, and quite comfortable. Of course, I was hobbling around in them, and am now back on a couch being lazy and healing more. As time goes on, the more bazaar my outfits are becoming. Leopard leggings that I had stuffed in the back of one of my drawers, snake boots, and an oversized bell sleeved sweater seemed to be the best choice for today. A little from a few different eras. This oversized bell sleeved top from Lavenderlemon is so comfortable and the perfect knit for what I have been looking for.  I thought it would be cooler out, but this month has been surprisingly hot...so I was kind of roasting in this getup today. Oh, I'm pretty hyped on my pouch necklace from Peeko. Perfect for my painkiller stash.

Time to dose up and chillax with some friends while drowning in 70s music. Peace.

BABES IN NEBRASKA PT. 2

thrifted dress, belt, and jewelry, UO tights and rock necklace, vera wang simply vera shoes, minx nail

One of my main squeezes and co-worker, Madi. You'll hear me talk about this chick a lot here, mainly because when her and I get together it tends to get a little crazy/sarcastic/giggly/other, with a lot being placed in the 'other' category. Even more than me, Madi finds amazing things mostly from thrifting. Bargain queen to the max, right here.

OCTOBER HEAT

animal blouse c/o the youth haus, d.a.r.e. top from las cruxes, boots from uo, luckyvintage purse, f21 shorts, under the pyramids triangle necklace

If you are a blogger you know that you can see what people have put into search engines that result in a link to your blog that they have clicked on. After being rather perplexed by a good portion of these words and phrases, I have decided to keep a little sticky-note list of a few strange ones. I wish that I had started this list sooner, as some of the earlier search inputs have been absolutely nutso, but the idea lightbulb in my brain didn't turn on until recently. Here is a list I have compiled of a few odd series of words that have lead people to this blog.

  • Big boobs make me look slutty
  • being married is cool because
  • moo moo diapers
  • freckleface nude
  • clarissa explains it all ass pics
  • bad case of freckleface
  • who writes strawberry freckleface blog??
  • why does roberta tape boobs
  • deviant behavior ages 4-12
  • obsessing over illuminati+am i going insane
  • redhead freckle face africans
  • romantic and hot pictures
  • cicada face
  • std that make your neck hurt
  • albinopeople.org
  • pictures of healing cuts
  • where is strawberry freckleface?
What are some crazy things that you've come across in this category?

Next order of business, the outfit. A few things I am really diggin' on my bod here. First off, this insane-awesome sheer vintage blouse with every animal print you could want on a top (minus snake) from The Youth Haus. Rock and roll/grunge/90s vintage to the max. They put up discount codes and new items on their FB often. I <3 discount codes. Before I ever order anything online, which is what I typically do, I always check to see if the store has a discount code. Sales and codes make me all happy-dizzy inside because I feel like I just got lucky and cheated, which isn't the case obviously. But still, good feeling to have. Slight adrenaline rush, amiright?

The D.A.R.E cut off top is from LasCruxes, another sick vintage and repurposed shop. I have worn this shirt probably too much this past week. It is perfect for high waisted cut off shorts with the asymmetry from the front to the back. I am cutting my clothes up like crazy lately. If it's not asymmetrical, make it so. If there aren't holes, rip some. No raw edges? Shred the crap out of it. Nothing better than being almost 27 and looking like a hobo. Oh, Madi put some pink/salmon color in my hair. I was bored with what I had. Hair ADD.

A little old tune for you to enjoy. One that I listen to way too loud while driving.

TIE DYE, LEOPARD, AND LEATHER, OH MY

luckyvintageseattle purse, the divine shrink tie dye top, asos boots, f21 diy shorts, assortment of random jewelry

Must make this post quick, as I have to go interview a potential new employee. I am pleasantly surprised that October thus far has been in the upper 70 to 80 degrees. L-O-V-E it. Went to a ridiculously huge pumpkin patch yesterday and thought I would post a few photos from the adventures that were had, since I hardly ever involve my personal-friends-social-life photos on my blog.

But first, this bag. Oh mah gaww. I had to have it. I took one look, my heart fluttered, and it was love at first sight. Check out Lucky Vintage here. I can see each one of my close friends finding something that would suit them from this shop. If any of you are a size 7.5 shoe and like python print, I highly suggest you get these because if I didn't have sasquach feet I would jump on those babies in a split second.

Annnnnd if you love 60s and 80s and 90s inspired clothing as much as I do, The Divine Shrink is a great vintage shop to check out. Got my boxy tie dye top from them. Look at this purse! Only $24, too. I can seriously spend hours upon hours browsing vintage shops online. And I do.
Anyway, sorry to make this so short but I leave you with a few pumpkee patchy photos. First one is ridic and that safety helmet thing was rather unnecessary.

BABES IN NEBRASKA PT. 1

1 girl 1 post. This is my darling cousin and best friend Chrissa. Our mothers are identical twins and yet we each somehow popped out looking just like our fathers. At 5 feet tall, Chrissa has worn heels since she was like 2. She has had the joy of knowing and having to be around me her ENTIRE life. Lucky!

ENID & EDGAR

watercolor dress c/o enidandedgar, jeffrey campbell shoes, body chain by cbdesigns, f21 bracelet

Okay. I have a new favorite dress. I want to wear this every single day. A day like this was perfect for it - the length, the light sheer cotton, and the pastels complementing the beautiful sunshine and (pretendclean) lake. Enid & Edgar Vintage was kind enough to send along this dress from their shop in Silverlake and I couldn't be more stoked on it, obviously. Check them out here, or just go visit their store if you live in LA! After my last derelict grunge post, I thought I would do a complete 180 and wear a flowy (still 90s inspired) watercolor dress with my hair up.

As mentioned before, I've photographed a few friends and still have a few more that I'd like to get in front of the camera, but for my babes-in-nebraska style post(s) I am having a tough time deciding the layout. I would like an honest opinion of what you, my fellow bloggers, would like to see. I am torn.

  • Option #1. One girl per post. The girl wears one outfit, and I feature just her and what she is wearing. Maybe make it a weekly, or monthly thing. One gal per week/month. This makes it less chaotic and only spotlights one person out here at a time.

  • Option #2. All girls in one post. They all wear one outfit from their closet, with a few photos of each girl. This gives the most variety in a single post so you can see back to back the individual unique styles of my friends.

  • Option #3. Something else.

Help!
