ROUTE 66 AND BEYOND

I've been on a hiatus. Not a fashion post, as it is hard to dress not-boring when you are climbing up mountains with sporadic rain freaking you out. Here are a few photos from the last week and a half. Route 66 road trip into the desert and all over the southwest. Hit up Zion, The Grand Canyon, Yosemite, random small towns in Utah and Arizona, and ended up back in California where it all began. I've been to all of these places minus Yosemite before, and thank goodness I got to experience what all it had to offer. Still only one state to go until I've been everywhere in the US. This road trip was one of the best experiences of my life. The Native American trading posts couldn't be more perfect, and route 66 was an experience in itself, feeling like a travel back in time through the wild west. Too much to talk about. It would take pages and pages. So surreal. Couldn't have done it without my trusty vintage peruvian backpack from Wudsylou. Check out their store here to find awesome vintage must haves. This bag survived many mountain slides and jumps. My new favorite purse.

  28. These pictures bring out a side of the desert that I find quite beautiful. I am not a desert person, and living in Las Vegas for the past 21 years does nothing to feed my green soul. However, perhaps I need a road trip to refresh my appreciation for certain aspects of the Mojave. Zion is the most beautiful place I've been in the southwest. Did you hike Angel's Landing while you were there?

  29. An awesome Trek through some of my part of the Country... the AZ Desert... just visited a Trading Post myself yesterday, being part Native American I adore the cultural significance of the pieces offered.

I think it is wonderful that you are traveling extensively and soaking in the Beauty and unique experiences of each stop along the way on your great adventure. So... which State is the last to visit?

Thanks for visiting my Blog... yeah, those Moroccan Light Fixtures are to die for... Morocco is certainly on my 'Bucket List' of places to visit someday... well, that and Bora Bora. *Winks* Loving your Blog...

Blessings from the Arizona Desert... where I have the big Cacti, but not the Camel *yet-LOL*... they spit you know *smiles*... having enough of that with the 5 year old G-Daughter. *winks*

Don't know how else to express it but I have been dreaming and lusting and dreaming about visiting places like this in the u.s (im from aus) and you've somehow captured what I imagined, the vibe, the immense dusty beauty of it all.

You are one lucky, lucky lady and I kind of did wish you went on for pages and pages because it really does feel like I fell into a dream. ONE DAY I WILL SEE IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Sorry to get excited and all but you have an amazing blog and style! Yeah following you now :)
